Share experiences, learn from each other, build new friendships, practice and compete with robots, and have fun! This is also an opportunity to bring new team members, mentors, or sponsors up to speed on what FIRST is really all about.

PUBLIC:
Forty-two robotics teams from all over Texas and beyond are coming together in Austin. Come watch robots compete in the 2013 FIRST Robotics Competition game – Ultimate Ascent! The 150lb robots compete in alliances and score by shooting frisbees and climbing pyramids. There will workshops and presentations, as well as the TRR Trading Post where you can help support teams by purchasing t-shirts, jewelry, decals, bristle bots, and more!

Hi, just saw the link to this from the Austin360 blog. Is it too late to observe the competition that day? I want to get my young son interested in FIRST that I learned about at SXSWi this year. Thanks in advance for your response.

    Hi Scott,

It is absolutely not too late! The event is free to the public and no prior registration is needed for guests. We encourage you to stop by during the day on Saturday to catch the action. We will be posting the final public agenda to the site this weekend. Feel free to also email us at robotroundup@gmail.com with any questions about the event or how to get involved with FIRST! We look forward to seeing you there!
