FRC Team 2158
FRC Team 2158
ausTIN Cans began in 2006.
Team Mission: To provide experience solving problems related to robotics, and to evaluate our solutions through a collaborative, creative, and educational atmosphere that inspires the student’s growth as a happy contributor to society.
What, exactly, does all this lingo mean?
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an international robotics program that combines the fun, team building experience of sports with business, engineering, and problem solving. FRC, the FIRST Robotics Competition, is a unique and life changing experience for high school students which helps them discover the excitement and rewarding aspects in the fields of science and engineering.

The ausTIN CANs are happy to say that our team is led and directed by students.
Our newly elected leaders are ready for the challenge of
guiding this group through a challenging year of growth and competition.
Teachers and Mentors
Our team is lucky to have qualified adult mentors to assist us with stages of the program. Anderson High School and Austin ISD are supportive of our efforts, and we are most grateful for all their help.
Technology is amazing... and expensive! Many thanks to all our sponsors, as well as the Austin Cans Supporters (our booster club) for their financial and logistical assistance to run our team.
