OUR COMMUNITY EFFORTS

Our team is very active in the local community. You will find us out and about, whether it is mentoring our vertical team middle and elementary school VEX crews or hosting FLL events. Check out our Outreach tab and our Blog for the most recent news and activities.

Here are some of our ongoing projects:

Night of the Robots

Parents Night Out with a twist!

Have a younger child (K-5th grade) locally? Looking for some excitement? Plan to have them attend Night of the Robots, a fun robot/ STEM-themed evening with our current Team members in their natural habitat: The ATC building at Anderson High School!

This fun event is from 5:30 pm until 9 pm several nights per school year. The most recent one is upcoming on February 14th, 2024. This is the last for the year, so reserve your spot!!

Boy Scout partners

The ausTIN CANs work in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America to help bring technology and innovative learning to a wider population. From hosting Summer Camps at our school to community outreach efforts, we are excited to work with these youth in promoting a love of all things STEAM. Information on the TechLab Camps can be found below. Summer 2023 dates are already set!

farmers market

Us CANs will occasionally set up a stall at Lone Star farmers market in Bee Cave, Texas

Other Opportunities

You never know where some CANs might turn up! Here we are at Barnes and Noble, spreading the robot joy and helping raise funds at the same time. Check our Events page to see where you might find us soon!

We are a high school team that is also an Explorer Post, dedicated to mentorship and education for students ages 14-21 who are interested in pursuing STEM- related careers.
