VEX Teams

VEX is the ausTIN CAN’s counterpart to FRC. VEX tends to focus on smaller groups working unanimously in order to create a smaller robot that competes in competitions more frequently throughout the year. VEX focuses on building cooperative, helpful students who are able to use their teamwork skills to accomplish a common goal.

A Group Effort

VEX teams are typically small groups of approximately 1-4 students who work together year-round.

Team members coordinate all aspects of designing, building, programming, documenting, and competing. Anderson VEX teams typically participate in 6 in-state competitions each year.

What is Vex?

In the VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!
